Schlechter Farms continues a family tradition that began in the early 1900s when the family settled in the Willamette Valley. The farm started with wheat and clover seed but transitioned to a diverse rotation including sweet corn, red and yellow onions, winter squash, and grass for seed. A variety of other fresh vegetables, such as peppers and tomatoes, are also grown. The farm supplies produce to farmer's market vendors, local grocery stores, and operates its own produce stand during corn season.
